Vishay Nobel are the established U.K. agents for the complete range of all-stainless steel pressure and level transmitters from Klay Instruments B.V., which incorporate all of the discrete features required in the most stringent process pressure and level applications.
Designed without plastics or aluminium casings, these rugged instruments enable direct connection to the process line, submerged in the tank or channel itself, in the most aggressive environments. Unlike many competitors, Klay employ in-built temperature compensation, giving high accuracy and long term stability.
The flush diaphragm models with welded interfaces and material choices are suitable for viscous and sludgy media, in addition to all process requirements for food, pulp and paper, waste water, pharmaceutical, oil and gas, marine industries etc. The latest form of pressure transmitter for mud/gas separators now has a gold plated flush diaphragm providing a cost effective solution for an arduous duty.

Virtually all specialised process connections, including hygienic CIP/SIP, used in the subject industries are covered directly on the transmitters however custom mountings are welcomed by Klay, enabling special plant design problems to be solved, such as through valve insertion and removal. Sensors can be supplied with 4-20mA, HART and PROFIBUS outputs.

For direct screw-threaded connection the Peramic Series offers the 4-20mA 2-wire transmitter, which with its integral stainless steel terminal housing, is the most rugged on the market.
All the connection and media interface types are now available in the "Intelligent" 2000 Series format, which features wide rangeability, 0.1% accuracy and can be calibrated without a pressure source.
PRS-SAN-W(85) The PRS family of hygienic pressure switches offer a simple and cost effective solution to process pressure switching requirements. A 2 wire switched contact is triggered at a preset level which is useful for overload/overfill protection in a wide variety of applications such as pump shut off. Almost all standard hygienic connections, such as Tri-clamp, IDF etc, are available.
The Hydrobar S and Vibraswitch sensors provide for ballast tank and liquid storage tank level measurement, including linearisation for horizontal cylindrical tanks. The Hydrobar features push button calibration and 0.1% accuracy. Both sensors are available in I.S. versions.
The Vibra-Switch "C" is based on the vibrating probe principle which means that the function will not be influenced by turbulence, air bubbles or system vibration. Applications include minimum and maximum level detection and dry run protection of pumps in all fluid types.

The Klay Capa-Switch is a product specifically designed to meet the specialist requirement of level switching in higher density or sticky process media e.g. mayonnaise, syrup, sauces etc. where use of conventional tuning fork switches is not possible due to the effects of product build-up between the tines. The operating principle of the unit is based upon a capacitive sensing element, giving reliable and dependable results in service. The Capa-Switch has a variable sensitivity control and is therefor simple to set up and adjust for different process media. For added convenience, status LEDs in the sensor head show when the switching point has been reached. In addition to the above, the Capa-Switch incorporates Klay's usual high quality features such a fully Stainless Steel construction plus superior ingress protection and is available with a wide choice of process connections. |
