Over the last 21 years, Vishay Nobel have produced load and pressure measurement instrumentation tailored to oilfield requirements, rather than modified industrial process control equipment. During this period ever higher load, pressure and temperature ranges have become more commonplace in oilfield and offshore engineering service systems.
The capabilities of line-pipe threaded joints have been exceeded in many critical areas of pressure control and data acquisition. To obviate extra sealing points necessitated by adapters, Vishay Nobel have integrated many industry-accepted connection flanges, hubs and gland assemblies into their Oilfield Pressure Sensors. The potential variations in joint make-up integrity, using taper-threads at pressures over 5,000 psi, have encouraged the use of metal/metal sealed flange and gland systems, especially at higher temperatures. Some of these configurations are rated for service above 20,000 psi and the sensor is provided complete with gland components to API specifications. Other models provide for Secondary Pressure Containment to the full proof pressure of the connection system within the pressure transmitter casing. Vishay Nobel Oilfield Pressure Transmitters feature integrated designs embodying sour-service materials, high shock and vibration compliance and hazardous area certification for all zones and gases.
